JÁ SÃO 20 ANOS EM BATALHA

Assim, pois, isto não depende de quem quer ou de quem corre, mas de Deus, que tem misericórdia. (Romanos 9:16)

Exatamente hoje, 31 de janeiro de 2024 minha família e eu estamos completando vinte anos que Deus nos trouxe para fazer parte de seu grande projeto em Batalha.

Existem algumas datas que são inesquecíveis e esta é uma delas.

Tivemos que deixar algumas coisas para trás, umas simples, outras nem tanto.

Talvez por sermos imaturos e “verdinhos” essa mudança nos causou algumas dores.

A chuva no dia de nossa vinda para Batalha é uma cena que não há como esquecer, choveu e choveu muito nesse dia; viemos embaixo de uma forte chuva desde Teresina.

Me chama muita atenção que 2004 foi um ano muito chuvoso, choveu de Teresina à Batalha, viemos embaixo de uma forte chuva.

Quando aqui chegamos, encontramos somente o irmão Daniel e irmã Shirley Araújo, que ficavam mais tempo em Teresina, por uma séria de fatores.

O nosso primeiro culto que aconteceu na sala de nossa casa, em frente ao Chico Bilica, foi numa quarta-feira e contou com vinte e dois convidados; foi muito gratificante ter esse número de pessoas na ocasião.

Deus levantou muitas pessoas para nos abençoar naquele momento ímpar, algumas delas já não estão se congregando conosco, outras sim.

Até hoje Deus pela sua graça e misericórdia tem levantando amigos parceiros para carregar conosco a grande responsabilidade e missão que o Senhor nos confiou. Deus seja louvado!

Foi de suma importância o apoio irrestrito que recebemos do pastor João Pedro, irmão Leão, hoje pastor e de toda a Igreja Batista da Vermelha.

Depois de muita feijoada, jantar romântico e outras estratégias, Deus no permitiu comprar o terreno onde hoje está construída a Primeira Igreja Batista em Batalha.

A igreja desde então tem crescido e atuado com tamanha relevância em ações sociais para abençoar e melhorar a qualidade de vida dos irmãos e da sociedade.

Desde que chegamos em Batalha temos pregado o evangelho de arrependimento, de transformação e de salvação, pois acreditamos piamente que a Palavra de Deus e tão somente ela, é capaz de transformar a vida das pessoas.

Em 2014 organizamos em parceria com uma ONG americana, um Projeto Social que atende hoje 361 crianças, sendo o melhor e mais completo projeto existente na cidade.

Há alguns anos atrás firmamos uma parceria com o Polícia Militar do Piauí, com intermédio do Sargento Zé Messias e Coronel Leonardo e organizamos o Pelotão Mirim Cidadão. É mais uma iniciativa no afã levar valores e proteger nossas crianças e adolescentes. Deus seja louvado!

Temos ainda muitos outros projetos para o futuro e estamos apresentando-os ao Senhor, certo de que teremos a resposta do alto.

A palavra que nos define é GRATIDÃO.

De fato, grandes coisas o SENHOR fez por nós; por isso, estamos alegres. (Salmos 126:3)

Exactly today, January 31, 2024, my family and I are completing twenty years since God brought us to be part of his great project in Batalha.

There are some dates that are unforgettable and this is one of them.

We had to leave some things behind, some simple, others not so much.

Perhaps because we are immature and “green” this change caused us some pain.

The rain on the day we arrived in Batalha is a scene that cannot be forgotten, it rained and rained a lot that day; we came under heavy rain from Teresina.

It really caught my attention that 2004 was a very rainy year, it rained from Teresina to Batalha, we came under heavy rain.

When we arrived here, we only found brother Daniel and sister Shirley Araújo, who spent more time in Teresina, due to a series of factors.

Our first service, which took place in the living room of our house, in front of Chico Bilica, was on a Wednesday and had twenty-two guests; It was very gratifying to have that number of people on the occasion.

God raised many people to bless us in that unique moment, some of them are no longer congregating with us, others are.

To this day, God, through his grace and mercy, has raised friends and partners to carry with us the great responsibility and mission that the Lord has entrusted to us. God be praised!

The unrestricted support we received from pastor João Pedro, brother Leão, today pastor, and from the entire Red Baptist Church, was extremely important.

After a lot of feijoada, romantic dinner and other strategies, God allowed us to buy the land where the First Baptist Church in Batalha is now built.

The church since then has grown and acted with such relevance in social actions to bless and improve the quality of life of its brothers and society.

Since we arrived in Batalha we have been preaching the gospel of repentance, transformation and salvation, as we firmly believe that the Word of God, and that alone, is capable of transforming people's lives.

In 2014, in partnership with an American NGO, we organized a Social Project that currently serves 361 children, being the best and most complete project in the city.

A few years ago we entered into a partnership with the Military Police of Piauí, through Sergeant Zé Messias and Colonel Leonardo, and organized the Pelotão Mirim Cidadão. It is another initiative in the desire to bring values ​​and protect our children and adolescents. God be praised!

We still have many other projects for the future and we are presenting them to the Lord, certain that we will have a response from above.

The word that defines us is GRATITUDE.

Indeed, great things the LORD has done for us; so we are happy. (Psalms 126:3)
