1ª IGREJA BATISTA DOA TERRENO E AJUDA A CONSTRUIR CASA

DEUS SEJA LOUVADO! Aconteceu no último domingo, 11/08/2019. Entenda a história: A irmã Joisse é uma membro da igreja que mora de casa alugada, com o esposo, Tiago e o filhinho, Heitor. Atualmente o marido está desempregado. Apos conversar com a irmã e ter conhecimento da situação que estava enfrentando, fui profundamente incomodado por Deus para fazer algo a respeito. Entendemos que a Igreja existe para servir, e principalmente à família da fé, como diz a própria Biblia. Após conversar com a diretoria, ontem mesmo, convidei o casal para ir lá na frente, no palco e imediatamente apresentamos a situação da família à congregação. Toda a igreja foi sensível, como de praxe. Os irmãos prontamente aceitaram a proposta. A Igreja em peso decidiu doar para a família um terreno, medindo 10m x 30m. No próximo domingo iniciaremos uma campanha para doação de dinheiro, material de construção e mão de obra e logo, logo organizaremos um mutirão para ajudar na construção.   
Entendemos que a igreja não é banco, nem tão pouco imobiliária para acumular imóveis, enquanto muitos daqueles que servem à igreja não têm uma casa própria, e moram, ou de favor ou de aluguel. O patrimônio financeiro e bens da Igreja só têm valor se também forem utilizados para abençoar os irmãos e a sociedade. Como igreja, precisamos desejar ardentemente melhorar a qualidade de vida das pessoas. Como crentes batistas, entendemos que o ser humano, não é só espiritual, é também físico, e como tal, há necessidades inerentes e a Igreja precisa investir no ser humano. Que Deus nos der meios de abençoar e servir muito mais, para a honra e glória do Senhor.

1ª BAPTIST CHURCH DONATES LAND

GOD BE PRAISED! It happened last Sunday, 08/11/2019. Understand the story: Sister Joisse is a member of the rented house church with her husband, James, and her son, Hector. Currently the husband is unemployed. After talking with her sister and being aware of the situation she was facing, I was deeply troubled by God to do something about it. We understand that the Church exists to serve, and especially to the family of faith, as the Bible itself says. After talking to the board yesterday, I invited the couple to go up front on the stage and immediately presented the family situation to the congregation. The whole church was sensitive, as usual. The brothers readily accepted the proposal. The Church by weight decided to donate to the family a plot of land measuring 10m x 30m. Next Sunday we will start a campaign to donate money, building materials and labor and soon we will organize a joint effort to help with the construction.

We understand that the church is neither a bank nor a real estate to accumulate real estate, while many of those who serve the church have no home of their own, and live either for favor or rent. The Church's financial heritage and assets are valuable only if they are also used to bless the brethren and society. As a church, we must earnestly desire to improve people's quality of life. As Baptist believers, we understand that human beings are not only spiritual, they are also physical, and as such there are inherent needs and the Church needs to invest in human beings. May God give us ways to bless and serve much more, for the honor and glory of the Lord.
